In Pakistan, MDF aims to create approximately 7,800 additional Full Time Equivalent (FTE) jobs and increase incomes for 84,000 households, potentially reaching up to 168,000 people. To achieve this, MDF stimulates growth in sectors that represent a major part of the economy, have long-term growth prospects and are relevant for poverty reduction. The three sectors initially chosen in Pakistan are Dairy and Meat, Leather, and Horticulture. Over time MDF’s portfolio is expected to expand to include other sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
