The partnership with Peoples Trade company (PTC) is expected to improve the connection between producers of local processed food products and the diverse markets seen in Timor-Leste.
Currently PTC sources local processed food products including but is not limited to- virgin coconut oil, peanut butter, strawberry jam, herbal tea, sweet basil seasoning, banana chips, homemade cookies, sago cookies, coconut cookies and corn powder cookies.
The objective of this intervention is to increase the income of women producers of processed food items by increasing the sales of ‘Aroma Timor’ products through improved branding and capacity development of marketing team.
Through improving the branding and product communication strategies, PTC’s sales of ‘Aroma Timor’ will increase; which will increase the volume of products the women producers can supply resulting in increased income. But this increased demand will be achieved through a two fold strategy- demand generation as well as supply efficiency.
