COVID 19 Awareness in PNG

MDF PNG in partnership with Outspan trained more than 2,500 cocoa farmers in Morobe Province on COVID-19.

Training covered precautions to take when farming, buying, selling and when conducting daily activities in the village.

“The state of Emergency caused a lot of anxiety among the people in the village. We were confused about what to do. We live in the village, so people do things as they please. People did not know much about this new disease, but with this awareness program, people are now educated and are following what they have been taught.” Says Steven Vauana, a Cocoa farmer in Nasaupum."
