Powering Fiji’s clean energy transition

Local solar company Electrify Energy Monkey (EEM) was founded in 2023 by Managing Director Pita Tamani, turning his passion for renewable energy into a business delivering affordable rooftop solar to Fijian households and firms. MDF’s 2024 Solar Demand Study shows strong urban demand, with 88 per cent willing to invest and many open to financing models. With abundant sunlight and rising energy costs, solar offers a practical path to savings and climate goals.

Through MDF support, EEM is raising awareness, improving access to finance information and strengthening its market presence, building on Pita’s experience with the Fiji Enterprise Engine (FEE) programme.
