Women cultivating change in agriculture: Nalini leads with climate-smart farming

MDF is partnering with Fijian company Organic Plus Pte Ltd to expand access to its locally produced liquid compost soil conditioner, made from organic waste. This climate- smart solution improves soil health, boosts crop yields and supports more resilient farming.

Agriculture supports over 80 per cent of Fiji’s rural population but faces pressure from climate variability, soil degradation and high input costs. Farmers report increased productivity and share results with others. MDF’s support, including partnerships with Post Fiji, is expanding distribution, strengthening livelihoods and encouraging more women to lead farm-input decisions.
