Talho Moris

Through MDF’s support, local butcher Talho Moris has been able to increase the supply of fresh meat in Timor-Leste.

Before, supermarkets had to rely on imported, frozen meat. Now that Talho Moris’ has increased its processing capacity from 1 cow to 4 per day, more supermarkets have a regular supply of local meat. The partnership has provided reliable income for farmers and cattle traders, the expansion has created more jobs in the local butcher and eating fresh meat has positive health benefits for local people.
