Supporting certification in Vanuatu

MDF partner Control Union completed another successful workshop, highlighting the importance of certification for emerging and established businesses in the Pacific.

Over 25 representatives from Vanuatu’s agriculture, livestock, processing, and export sectors attended the workshop. They delved into how certifications can improve the quality of their products and provide better access to international markets.

Mr Noel Kalo, Director of the Department of Industry in Vanuatu, was pleased that a certification service provider was looking at setting up in the Pacific and expressed his gratitude for MDF’s support.

The participants found the presentations insightful and emphasised the need for diversification in the varieties of certifications currently available in Vanuatu.
