The annual Tahiti Moorea Sailing Rendezvous returns to Opunohu’s Bay
The annual Tahiti Moorea Sailing Rendezvous returned to Opunohu’s Bay and brought together cruising yachties from the Americas as they made their way into the breathtaking South Pacific!
This year’s event was a vibrant fusion of fun activities, traditional cultural dances and thrilling sports, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees. MDF, in partnership with the South Pacific Sailing Network (SPSN), supported participation by Tonga Tourism, Tonga Customs, Tourism Fiji, Vanuatu Department of Tourism, and the Vanuatu Tourism Office.
MDF is working with yachting partners to help grow regional yachting tourism through public-private collaborations and international marketing.
The event provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships between marinas, marine services, and tourism offices across the South Pacific. Presentations were made by SPSN, Fiji Tourism, Vuda Marina, Tonga Tourism & Tonga Boatyard, Vanuatu Tourism & Vanuatu Customs, Whangarei Marina, and Bay of Islands Marina. Key themes included promoting the Pacific region as a premier yachting destination and providing essential information to yachties on customs regulations, biosecurity and immersive local experiences.
