Strengthening Samoan businesses’ capacity in value addition and food safety.
MDF Pacific Regional recently supported partners, the Samoa Association of Manufacturers and Exporters – SAME, organise a workshop for its members, focusing on the benefits of value-adding and processing agricultural products.
The workshop was part of a three-day visit by renowned Pacific food scientist Dr. Beyer. Representatives from 10 local businesses explored various stages of manufacturing, from post-harvest handling of raw materials to food processing, safety and product differentiation at the point of sale.
